We, Trails’ End Labradoodles, went to “Dog Days†in West Linn at the Farmer’s Market. Such a cute part of town: Quaint shops and restaurants with outdoor seating are all in the same area as the Farmer’s market. We brought Stella, our stunning, shiny, coal- black Labradoodle. She did very well and loved everyone she met, both dogs and people alike. And it was pretty much love at first sight (I think there was romantic music playing) as our stud dog Winston came to visit with his family.
The Dog Days market had everything you could want to pamper your pooch. One thing puzzles me though: the healthy organic dog treats. They are shaped like bones, but made out of stuff like barley! We were watching Stella as she was offered a free sample. So how does this work? She sees the bone-shaped treat and hears the magic word “treatâ€. She thinks “Beefâ€? But as soon as it enters her mouth, I think she knows it’s pretty much inedible. So, being the polite Labradoodle she is, she gently takes it with gratitude for the kind thought, then promptly sets it on the ground. She looks at us like maybe she’ll eat it later. Not.
All in all, a fun day had by everyone. There were even Weiner Dog Races, if you can imagine that! Pictures of the event are up on our facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/trails.end.labradoodles
